(Lisboa, 1995) Estudou direção de fotografia e cinema no London College of Communication. Ainda em Londres desenvolveu trabalhos de backstage nos teatros do West End e fez fotografia de cena para filmes. Foi nessa altura que aprofundou o caráter documental que a caracteriza e que é hoje a sua assinatura. Os seus trabalhos mais recentes perpetuam esta mesma forma de fotografar que é transversal aos vários temas que lhe despertam a curiosidade, memória, identidade e pertença, muito visível nos seus projectos Os Felizes e Os Forcados. Através da ligação que estabelece com quem passa pela sua lente.
GIL HEITOR CORTESÃO- CURATOR'S CHOICE 9
(Lisboa, 1967) A sua obras visa manter vivos os ideais utópicos do modernismo, expressos através do design de interiores e da arquitectura. Fazendo da pintura o seu principal meio, Cortesão's aplica uma técnica rara de pintura a óleo no verso de uma folha de Plexiglas. As suas pinturas seduzem com a sua superfície elegante, que esconde a textura da tinta a óleo, e enganam o espectador, assemelhando-se a algumas das características chave da fotografia.
JUAN CARLOS ALOM- CURATOR'S CHOICE 10
É um dos mais destacados artistas cubanos nos campos da fotografia e da realização de documentários e filmes experimentais. A sua obra, juntamente com a de outros grandes artistas cubanos, participa no impulso geracional dos anos 90, empenhado em oxigenar os velhos discursos e pressupostos estéticos do género. Entre as mais destacadas exposições estão "Island Creatures" em The Apartment, Havana, Cuba; "Born to be free", que participou no Evento Nacional de Fototeca do México; "Juan Carlos Alom", Metrònom Fundació Rafael Tous d'Art Contemporan, Barcelona, Espanha, entre outros. Em 2000 foi reconhecido pela revista Time Magazine de Nova Iorque, EUA, como um dos 100 fotógrafos latino-americanos do milénio.

Licenciou-se em Pintura pela FBAUL, Faculdade de Belas Artes da Universidade de Lisboa em 2001. Tem exposto regularmente desde então. Vive e trabalha em Lisboa, Portugal. Concentra a sua atenção em questões inerentes à compreensão e representação do espaço. O seu trabalho pondera a natureza e eficiência da linguagem, desconstruindo de formas inesperadas os códigos e expectativas que nos comunicam a sua existência.
MARIA ALBERGARIA- CURATOR'S CHOICE 12
(1980, Lisboa) Integrou o curso de Pintura Decorativa na FRESS em Lisboa, seguido do curso de Peintre en Décors, no IPEDEC, em Paris. Regressa a Lisboa e começa a trabalhar no restauro de igrejas. Em 2006 acrescenta à sua formação o curso de Restauro de Pintura Mural, no IADE. Em 2014 inicia o curso regular de Pintura do AR.CO, e depois o curso avançado. Do seu percurso no restauro, a sua paixão pela folha de ouro foi tão grande ou suficiente para a transportar da Idade Média para a Arte Contemporânea.
MARCO A. CASTILLO- CURATOR'S CHOICE 13
É um fundador do colectivo de arte Los Carpinteros, e o seu trabalho é permeado por um interesse na história de Cuba e nas mudanças pós-revolucionárias, sociais e culturais do país. Castillo tem investigado extensivamente a arquitectura, design e escultura, que são aspectos fundamentais da sua prática artística ao procurar criar instalações, desenhos e esculturas que se envolvem com o espaço e negociam entre o funcional e o não funcional, muitas vezes expressos de forma humorística. Já com o período das suas primeiras obras a obra de Castillo é uma das mais importantes e internacionalmente influentes do continente latino-americano dos últimos vinte anos. A par de um movimento global de revisão histórica, Castillo reflecte sobre a modernização de Cuba nos anos 60 e 70 e refere-se a artistas, arquitectos e designers cubanos influentes. As esculturas e obras em papel pertencentes ao seu projecto mais recente combinam elementos do design nórdico e escandinavo e do realismo socialista do período soviético com técnicas e materiais tradicionais cubanos - incluindo madeira de mogno e tecido de rotim, bem como com desenhos gráficos da época.
GONZALO FUENMAYOR - CURATOR'S CHOICE 14
Reflete no seu trabalho uma dupla influência cultural que tem marcado inexoravelmente a sua prática artística: hispânico e norte-americano. Camila Lobos Díaz vive e trabalha entre Londres (UK) e Santiago (CL). Licenciou-se na Universidade Católica do Chile (2013) e na MFA Sculpture na Slade School of Fine Art, University College London (2019). O seu trabalho, principalmente tridimensional, é sobre tornar visível o contexto sócio-político-cultural. Explora a relação entre poder e visibilidade.
KILUANJI KIA HENDA- CURATOR'S CHOICE 21
Kiluanji Kia Henda nasceu em 1979 em Angola. Vive e trabalha em Luanda, Angola. O interesse de Kia Henda pelas artes visuais surge por ter crescido num meio de entusiastas da fotografia. A ligação com a música e o teatro de vanguarda, fizeram parte da sua formação conceptual, tal como a colaboração com colectivos de artistas em Luanda. Participou em vários programas de residências em cidades como Veneza, Cidade do Cabo, Paris, Amman e Sharjah, entre outras.
DAGOBERTO RODRIGUEZ - CURATOR'S CHOICE 22
Dagoberto Rodríguez nasceu em 1969 em Caibarién (Cuba) e licenciado pelo Instituto Superior de Arte (ISA), La Habana (Cuba) em 1994. Em 1992, ele co-fundou o colectivo Los Carpinteros. Actualmente, trabalha entre Madrid e La Habana.
As suas obras têm sido exibidas em museus e instituições culturais em todo o mundo e fazem parte de colecções públicas proeminentes, tais como a MOMA, Museu Whitney de Arte Americana, Guggenheim Novo York, Centre Georges Pompidou, Tate Modern e Museo Centro de Arte Reina Sofía, entre muitos outros.
JOÃO LOURO- CURATOR'S CHOICE 23
João Louro nasceu em Lisboa em 1963, onde vive e trabalha. Estudou arquitetura na Faculdade de Arquitetura de Lisboa e Pintura na Escola Ar.Co. O seu trabalho engloba pintura, escultura, fotografia e vídeo.
Descendente da arte minimal e conceptual, tem uma atenção especial às vanguardas do início do séc XX. O seu trabalho traça uma topografia do tempo, com referências pessoais mas, sobretudo, geracionais. Utiliza como fonte recorrente a linguagem, a palavra escrita, e procura fazer uma revisão da imagem na cultura contemporânea, a partir de um conjunto de representações e símbolos do universo visual coletivo. O minimalismo, o conceptualismo, a cultura pop, o estruturalismo e pós-estruturalismo, autores como Walter Benjamin, Guy Debord, Georges Bataille, Blanchot ou artistas como Donald Judd ou Duchamp, formam o léxico através do qual João Louro se exprime.
Foi o representante de Portugal na Bienal de Veneza de 2015, com a exposição I Will Be Your Mirror | Poems and Problems.
TULIO PINTO- CURATOR'S CHOICE 24
(Brasília, 1974) é licenciado em artes visuais com especialização em escultura, Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Sul, UFRGS - Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Sul - 2009. Vive e trabalha em Porto Alegre. Nos últimos três anos realizou residências artísticas em países como a Ucrânia, Canadá, Portugal, EUA, Reino Unido e Holanda.
SARA & ANDRÉ- CURATOR'S CHOICE 25
(Lisboa, 1980 e 1979). Vivem e trabalham em Lisboa Estudaram, respectivamente, Realização Plástica do Espectáculo na Escola Superior de Teatro e Cinema, em Lisboa, e Artes Plásticas na Escola Superior de Arte e Design, nas Caldas da Rainha.
A dupla Sara & André trabalham com fotografia, vídeo e performance, centram o seu trabalho em questões relacionadas com a autoria, a apropriação e com os mecanismos da fama no mundo da arte. De entre os seus projectos, destacam-se: “Claim to Fame Project”, iniciado em 2004, bem como a série “Fundação Sara & André” que consiste na encomenda de obras de arte auto-referenciais a outros artistas.
CARLOS GARAICOA - CURATOR'S CHOICE 26
Carlos Garaicoa nasceu em Habana (Cuba) em 1967, estudou termodinâmica e mais tarde pintura no Instituto Superior de Arte, Havana (1989 - 1994). Actualmente vive e trabalha entre Havana e Madrid.
Garaicoa desenvolveu um diálogo entre arte e espaço urbano através do qual investiga a estrutura social das nossas cidades em termos da sua arquitectura. Emprega uma abordagem multidisciplinar para abordar questões de cultura e política, particularmente cubana, através do estudo da arquitectura, urbanismo e história. O seu principal tema tem sido sempre a cidade de Havana. Ao brincar com esculturas, desenhos, vídeos e fotografias centrados na ironia e no desespero, Garaicoa encontrou nas suas instalações, para as quais utiliza frequentemente uma grande variedade de materiais, uma forma de criticar a arquitectura utópica modernista e o colapso das ideologias do século XX, aprofundando o conceito da cidade como um espaço simbólico.
RUI MATOS - CURATOR'S CHOICE 27
Rui Matos nasceu em Lisboa em 1959. Vive e trabalha próximo de Sintra.
Frequentou o Curso de Escultura da ESBAL. Bolseiro da Fundação Calouste Gulbenkian em 1993.
Em 1987 realiza a primeira exposição individual “Órgãos e Artefactos” – Lisboa, com esculturas em ardósia. Seguem-se esculturas em gesso-bronze “Primeira Ilha” – Colares e “Mediterrâneo” – Porto. A primeira exposição em pedra é de 1991 “Enormidade Sequência e Naufrágio”. Realiza outras em 2005 – “Transformações-Relatos Incertos” e “Objetos de Memória” e em 2007 “Histórias Incompletas”. Desde 2008 que as esculturas são em ferro, expostas em “A Pele das Coisas” e “Transformo-me naquilo que toco”.
Desenvolveu diversas intervenções e obras públicas, como é o caso do “ Monumento à Revolta dos Marinheiros de 1936”, em Almada, “Monumento à Água” na Escola Secundária de São Pedro do Sul, Escultura alusiva ao poeta João Ruiz Castelo-Branco, no Parque dos Poetas em Oeiras, escultura pública na Estrada do Guincho, junto à Boca do Inferno, em Cascais, ou Monumento a Luís de Camões com Clara Menéres, em Paris
CECÍLIA COSTA - CURATOR'S CHOICE 28
Cecília Costa nasceu nas Caldas da Rainha, em 1971.
Vive e trabalha em Lisboa. Estudou Matemática na Universidade de Aveiro e Artes Visuais na ESAD (Escola Superior de Arte e Design) das Caldas da Rainha, e Arte dos Media na Universidade Lusófona de Lisboa. Desde que marcou presença na 14.a Bienal de Sydney, em 2004, participou em várias exposições internacionais, por exemplo, Portugal: Algumas Figuras, Instituto Nacional de Belas-Artes da Cidade do México, 2005; Portugal Hoje: Nine Solitaire Positions - Galeria MAM, Viena, 2005; Jovens artistas-Galeria MAM, Salzburgo, 2006. Expôs a sua obra individualmente na Galeria Pedro Oliveira, no Porto, e na Galeria Baginski, em Lisboa. Em mostras mais recentes, apresentou objetos, instalações, som, mobiliário distorcido, materiais inesperados como água, gelo e hélio e diferentes tipos de ready-mades. É uma artista multidisciplinar e, apesar de ter explorado várias disciplinas artísticas, o desenho e a escultura continuam a ser os seus meios de eleição, sendo eles mutuamente dependentes.
Os estudos em matemática destacaram o interesse da artista em princípios geométricos e particularmente na simetria, gravidade e dimensões espaciais. E um facto que somos seres simétricos, submetidos à gravidade, e que habitam fisicamente a terceira dimensão. Podemos ver no trabalho da artista que a consciência da barreira entre a segunda e a terceira dimensão provoca um inquietante desejo de subversão. A imaterialidade da linha que dá corpo aos desenhos da artista por vezes ganha propriedades que são adequadas aos corpos materiais da escultura. Por exemplo, podemos encontrar peso, densidade e elasticidade nos seus desenhos. Numa mão, Cecília sente o desenho como se fosse uma escultura, usando a segunda dimensão como se pudesse esculpir ali, criando espaços reais com profundidade no plano ou submetendo o desenho de linhas às mesmas propriedades da matéria. Por outro lado, a artista subverte as funções dos objetos e mistura as propriedades da matéria com os materiais das esculturas.
JUAN BARAJA - CURATOR´S CHOICE 29
Juan Baraja nasceu em Toledo em 1985. É licenciado em Belas Artes pela Faculdade de Barcelona. Trabalha com relações que surgem entre a arquitetura e a gestão do espaço através da fotografia. A composição precisa e cuidada de cada imagem caracteriza o resultado da análise do fotógrafo, sem esquecer o sentimento que surge em cada lugar a partir da própria experiência. O seu trabalho demonstra o seu olhar subjetivo, onde a luz tem um papel essencial.
O seu trabalho tem sido exposto em galerias privadas por toda a Espanha, bem como em instituições. As suas exposições individuais incluem "Utopie Abitative" Palazzo Lanfranchi Museum, Matera; "Águas Livres" Espacio Líquido, Gijón; "Catedrales" Utopía Parkway, Madrid; "Norlandia" Javier Silva, Valladolid; "Archiitekturen" Ufferstudios, Berlim e "Utopie Abitative" na ETSAM (Escuela Técnica Superior de Arquitectura de Madrid). René Francisco, um dos artistas contemporâneos mais importantes de Cuba, é conhecido pelo seu trabalho experimental que utiliza a arte como meio de exploração e de transformação social. A maioria, produzida numa variedade de meios, toca em temas sociológicos e políticos. Trabalha para promover a arte conceptual e o desenvolvimento comunitário na sua Cuba natal e foi fundamental para influenciar em uma geração de artistas cubanos como professor de arte no Instituto Superior de Arte.

Utilizando a cerâmica como suporte principal, Maria Ana Vasco Costa cria obras de arte originais e objetos esculturais, bem como delicados trabalhos sobre papel. Realizou várias exposições individuais e colectivas em diversas galerias do país e do estrangeiro, incluindo a sua mais recente exposição "5 a.m" na Galeria Fonseca Macedo. Licenciada em Cerâmica e Artes Plásticas pelo Ar.Co, onde é actualmente directora de departamento, e com um mestrado em Arquitectura, Ana iniciou a sua carreira com intervenções cerâmicas site specific, utilizando azulejos tridimensionais e planos, seguindo a tradição da azulejaria portuguesa, para criar novos padrões e composições, pelos quais ganhou vários prémios Surface Design Awards em Londres.
Estamos a aproximar-nos do Natal e, antes do final do ano, a Veronica de Mello Art Projects quer partilhar consigo alguns trabalhos de artistas com quem trabalhamos.

(Lisbon, 1995) Studied photography and film direction at the London College of Communication. While still in London she developed backstage work in West End theaters and did scene photography for films. It was then that she deepened the documentary character that characterizes her and is her signature today. Her most recent works perpetuate this same way of photographing that is transversal to the various themes that arouse her curiosity, memory, identity and belonging, very visible in her projects Os Felizes and Os Forcados. (Lisbon, 1995) oeuvre aims to keep alive Utopian ideals from modernism, expressed through interior design and architecture. Making painting his principle medium, Cortesão’s applies a rare technique of painting oil on the back of a Plexiglas sheet. His paintings seduce with the sleekness of their surface, which conceals the texture of the oil paint, and deceives the viewer by resembling some of the key characteristics of photography.

(1980, Lisbon) Took the Decorative Painting course at FRESS in Lisbon, followed by the Peintre en Décors course at IPEDEC in Paris. She returns to Lisbon and starts working on the restoration of churches. In 2006 adds to her training the course of Restoration of Mural Painting, in IADE. In 2014 starts the regular course of Painting of AR.CO, and then the advanced course. From her path in restoration, her passion for gold leaf was as great or enough to transport her from the Middle Ages to Contemporary Art.
MARCO A. CASTILLO- CURATOR'S CHOICE 13
Founder of the art collective Los Carpinteros, and his work is permeated by an interest in the history of Cuba and the country’s post-revolutionary, social and cultural changes. Castillo has been extensively investigating architecture, design and sculpture, which are fundamental aspects of his artistic practice in seeking to create installations, drawings and sculptures that engage with space and negotiate between the functional and non-functional, often expressed in a humorous
way. Already with the period of his early works Castillo's oeuvre is one of the most important and internationally influential of the Latin American continent of the past twenty years. In tandem with a global movement of historical revision, Castillo reflects on Cuba’s modernization in the 1960 and 70s and refers to influential Cuban artists, architects and designers. The sculptures and works on paper pertaining to his most recent project combine elements of Nordic and Scandinavian design and socialist realism of the Soviet period with traditional Cuban techniques and materials—including mahogany wood and rattan fabric, as well as with graphic designs of the time.

Camila Lobos Díaz lives and works between London (UK) and Santiago (CL). She obtained her BFA degree from the Catholic University of Chile (2013) and an MFA Sculpture in Slade School of Fine Art, University College London (2019). Her work, mainly three-dimensional, is about making the socio-political-cultural context visible. It explores the relationship between power and visibility.

Kiluanji Kia Henda was born in 1979 in Angola. He lives and works in Luanda, Angola. Kia Henda's interest in the visual arts arises from having grown up in an environment of photography enthusiasts. A connection with avant-garde music and theatre was part of his conceptual training, as was his collaboration with artist collectives in Luanda.

Dagoberto Rodriguez was born in 1969 in Caibarién (Cuba) and graduated from Instituto Superior de Arte (ISA), La Habana (Cuba) in 1994. In 1992 he co-founded the collective Los Carpinteros. He currently works between Madrid and La Habana. His works have been exhibited in museums and cultural institutions around the world and are part of prominent public collections such as MOMA, Whitney Museum of American Art, Guggenheim New York, Centre Georges Pompidou, Tate Modern and Museo Centro de Arte Reina Sofía, among many others.

João Louro was born in 1963, in Lisbon, where he lives and works. He studied architecture at the University of Lisbon and painting at the Ar.Co School of Visual Art. João Louro’s body of work encompasses painting, sculpture, photography and video.
João Louro’s work descends from minimal and conceptual art, with special attention to avant-garde movements of the early twentieth century. It draws out a topography of time, with references that are personal but mainly they are generational. With regular recourse to language as a source, as well as the written word, he seeks a review of the image in contemporary culture, starting out from a set of representations and symbols from the collective visual universe. Minimalism, conceptualism, Pop culture, structuralism and post-structuralism, authors such as Walter Benjamin, Guy Debord, Georges Bataille and Blanchot as well as artists like Donald Judd and the ever-present Duchamp, form the reference lexical universe of the artist.
He was the portuguese representative at the Venice Biennale of 2015, with the exhibition I Will Be Your Mirror | Poems and Problems.
TULIO PINTO- CURATOR'S CHOICE 24
(Brasília, 1974) has a degree in visual arts with a specialization in sculpture, Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul, UFRGS - Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Sul - 2009. Lives and works in Porto Alegre. In the last three years he performed artistic residencies in countries such as Ukraine, Canada, Portugal, USA, UK and Netherlands.

(Lisbon, 1980 and 1979). They live and work in Lisbon and studied, respectively, Performing Arts at Escola Superior de Teatro e Cinema, in Lisbon, and Plastic Arts at Escola Superior de Arte e Design, in Caldas da Rainha.
The collective Sara & André work with photography, video and performance, focusing their work on issues related to authorship, appropriation and the mechanisms of fame in the art world. Their projects include the Claim to Fame Project, which began in 2004, and the Fundação Sara & André series, which commissions self-referential artworks from other artists.
CARLOS GARAICOA - CURATOR'S CHOICE 26
Carlos Garaicoa was born in Habana (Cuba) in 1967, he studied thermodynamics and later painting at the Instituto Superior de Arte, Havana (1989 - 1994). He currently lives and works between Havana and Madrid.
Garaicoa has developed a dialogue between art and urban space through which he investigates the social structure of our cities in terms of their architecture. He employs a multidisciplinary approach to address issues of culture and politics, particularly Cuban, through the study of architecture, urbanism and history. His main subject has always been the city of Havana. Playing with sculptures, drawings, videos and photographs centred on irony and despair, Garaicoa has found in his installations, for which he often uses a wide variety of materials, a way of criticising utopian modernist architecture and the collapse of 20th century ideologies, deepening the concept of the city as a symbolic space.

Rui Matos was born in Lisbon in 1959. He lives and works near Sintra.
He attended the Sculpture Course at ESBAL. He was awarded a scholarship by the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation in 1993.
In 1987 he holds his first individual exhibition "Orgãos e Artefactos" - Lisbon, with sculptures in slate. This was followed by sculptures in plaster-bronze "Primeira Ilha" - Colares and "Mediterrâneo" - Oporto. The first exhibition in stone is from 1991 - "Enormidade Sequência e Naufrágio". He holds others in 2005 - "Transformations-Incertain Accounts" and "Memory Objects" and in 2007 "Incomplete Stories". Since 2008 the sculptures are in iron, exhibited in "A Pele das Coisas" and "Transformo-me naquilo que tocco".
He has developed several interventions and public works, as is the case of the "Monument to the Sailors' Revolt of 1936", in Almada, "Monument to Water" in the Secondary School of São Pedro do Sul, allusive sculpture to the poet João Ruiz Castelo-Branco, in the Parque dos Poetas in Oeiras, public sculpture in the Guincho Road, near Boca do Inferno, in Cascais, or the Monument to Luís de Camões with Clara Menéres, in Paris
CECÍLIA COSTA - CURATOR'S CHOICE 28
Cecília Costa was born in Caldas da Rainha in 1971.
Lives and works in Lisbon. She studied Mathematics at the University of Aveiro and Visual Arts at ESAD (School of Art and Design) in Caldas da Rainha, and Media Art at Universidade Lusófona in Lisbon. Since his participation in the 14th Sydney Biennale in 2004, he has participated in several international exhibitions, for example, Portugal: Algumas Figuras, Instituto Nacional de Belas-Artes, Mexico City, 2005; Portugal Hoje: Nine Solitaire Positions - MAM Gallery, Vienna, 2005; Young artists - MAM Gallery, Salzburg, 2006. He has exhibited his work individually at the Galeria Pedro Oliveira, in Oporto, and at the Galeria Baginski, in Lisbon. In more recent shows, she has presented objects, installations, sound, distorted furniture, unexpected materials such as water, ice and helium and different types of ready-mades. She is a multidisciplinary artist and, although she has explored various artistic disciplines, drawing and sculpture remain her mediums of choice, and they are mutually dependent.
Studies in mathematics have highlighted the artist's interest in geometric principles and particularly symmetry, gravity and spatial dimensions. It is a fact that we are symmetrical beings, submitted to gravity, and that we physically inhabit the third dimension. We can see in the artist's work that the awareness of the barrier between the second and the third dimension provokes a disturbing desire for subversion. The immateriality of the line that gives body to the artist's drawings sometimes gains properties that are appropriate to the material bodies of sculpture. For example, we can find weight, density and elasticity in her drawings. In one hand, Cecília feels the drawing as if it were a sculpture, using the second dimension as if she could sculpt there, creating real spaces with depth in the plane or submitting the drawing of lines to the same properties as matter. On the other hand, the artist subverts the functions of objects and mixes the properties of matter with the materials of sculptures.

Juan Baraja was born in Toledo in 1985. He has a degree in Fine Arts from the Faculty of Barcelona. He works with the relation that arises between architecture and space management through photography. The precise and careful composition of each image characterises the result of the photographer's analysis, without forgetting the feeling that arises in each place from his own experience. His work demonstrates his subjective look, where light plays an essential role.
His work has been exhibited in private galleries throughout Spain as well as in institutions. Sabina Wlandis' interview with artist Rene Francisco
René Francisco, one of Cuba´s most important contemporary artists, is known for his experimental work which uses art as a means of social exploration and transformation. Most, produced in a variety of media, touches on sociological and political themes. He works to promote conceptual art and community development in his native Cuba and has been seminal in influencing a generation of Cuban artists as art professor at the Instituto Superior de Arte.

Sabina Wlandis' interview with artist Maria Ana Vasco Costa
Using ceramics as her main media, Maria Ana Vasco Costa creates original artwork and sculptural objects as well as delicate works on paper. She has had many solo and group shows with several galleries in her native Portugal and abroad, including her most recent show “5 a.m” at the Galeria Fonseca Macedo. With a degree in Ceramics and Fine Arts from Ar.Co, where she is currently head of department, and a Masters degree in Architechture, Ana started her career with site specific ceramic interventions using three dimensional and flat tiles following in the tradition of Portuguese tiling to create new patterns and compositions for which she has won several Surface Design Awards in London.
